Ozzy
Pawl joined the Idiot Brothers in 1999. He is from Cairns, Queensland
and is quite fond of Mud Crabs. (See Road Trips Story). For
Paul's going away party, his "kilt" disappeared first. Ozzy played
with Brothers Rugby Club in Cairnes aHe is now located in New Mexico.
Bad Boy Bubby is the second Idiot Brother.....I still am curious how I became #1, but no arguing it, we are both Idiots. Too many stories, not enough time. Check out out stories on the stories page....sure to give you a chuckle. As for current status of Bubby.....his wife allows him out to play on a rare occassion, one of which was the Idiot Odyssey 2001, which took place September 2001 in Sydney, Brisbane, Ayers Rock/Uluru, and Cairns. It was my first trip to Australia and our first reunion since 1997. Check out the Idiot Odyssey to read about our adventures. |
Aussie Quote:
During a match in the Land down Under, Prop Dan Crowley dislocated his jaw. In a post game interview he was quoted to have said, "It'll be alright, it's just a bit hard to eat, so I'll have to keep drinking." Ozzy Quote: I just got to tell her I got the Aussie Cock that DC chicks love! Bubby Quote: It was Devine Intervention Mate, Devine Intervention! |

The Lyons Tour Update from Bubby: Well nothing much to report here, we just been enjoying the Lions tour, well suffice to say that I didn't particularly enjoy the first test when the Wallabies played like we did in the first game at maggotfest.[Bubby and I played in a tournament in Montana known as the Maggotfest. Great time, but we got beaten handily on Saturday morning.] Honestly you'd swear the picked 15 guys out of the local pub and asked them to play rugby, they sucked the big one. There about 18,000 to 20,000 Lions supporters out from the U.K . Whilst they were in Brisbane they managed to drink several pubs completely
dry, the poor old publicans had no freaking idea what had hit them. However
by all accounts they have been particularly well behaved, the local constabulary
were suitably impressed, just the odd beastiality case you know what those
Poms are like. - Kevin "Bad Boy Bubby" McHugh

Woy Woy Tour
The tour started, as all great rugby tours do, at the Macquarie Uni sporting fields, with about 20 young men at their physical peak, gathering to take on the Central Coast Powerhouse of rugby, Woy Woy Bay. With only 12 seats available on the bus, several cars also made the journey up the coast, with Rabies unlucky enough to drive the bus because he was last to grab a beer. So off we took on what looked
like a pretty quiet bus trip to play a game of footy and a few beers afterwards.
Well that’s how it was until we hit the F3 at Hornsby, where
With many skulls and several piss stops later, we finally arrived at Umina High School to a footy field that had more rocks and dirt than grass. As the temperature rose to about 34 degrees and with most of the Beacons pissed, we couldn’t have hoped for a better preparation as we ran out for the warm up game against Ourimbah. After a fairly slow start and an early try against us, we rallied strongly towards the end and managed to salvage a draw, with Jonesy picking up a try. MACQUARIE UNI 5 - OURIMBAH 5 As we sobered up and acclimatised ourselves to the heat, we were ready to tackle Woy Woy in the main game. One quote overheard by the Woy Woy coach was "Gees mate, I’m sure glad that Rabies, Addo and Fatty aren’t playing, we’d get flogged with them out on the field". After a steady start by Uni, with some good field position, Woy Woy were able to score a lucky runaway try to give them the early lead. With several Beacons playing on despite injuries, it looked as if we were heading for a loss. But we hit back strongly with the forwards securing great ball for many phases and the backs making good yards out wide, we eventually crossed for a great team try, with Corradi scoring (rumour has it this was not the only time he scored for the weekend). This was a great effort in both games, overcoming the heat and alcohol to notch up two draws. MACQUARIE UNI 5 - WOY WOY 5 After a quick dip in the ocean, we headed down to the pub at Woy Woy to join the locals in a few beers. Whilst it was still early in the night some of the highlights include: · Chewy trying to go drink for drink with Woopy and failing to go past 9.00. · Mac Uni losing the boat race to a well drilled Woy Woy outfit. · Young Junior joining in the festivities, leading everyone in the illusion song. · Politely been asked to leave when we sang ‘The Flag’ and ‘ Who’s that Man’ for about the tenth time (we also said a few things about Woy Woy that the locals didn’t like). Nobody really cared because it was only 10.09p.m. and so we headed back to our place of residence ‘The Ocean Beach Hotel’ to hit the night club. I can’t say much more than the Beacons really shone, all eyes were on us as we hit the dance floor with more vigour than a Richard Loe rucking. We were paid the ultimate reward when the DJ gave us free t-shirts and CD’s and invited us to any of his gigs. Not too much more og the night can be remembered apart from Big Gussy’s great co-ordination to do the bus stop better than anyone there. As far as the Corradi incident at the nightclub goes, all that has to be said is that what happens on tour stays on tour. A big thanks must go to Jon Sleeman and Big Gussy for organising the trip, and it was great to see so many new boys on tour - Tim, Chewy, Junior, Hattas, Tim, Dicky & Ian - we look forward to seeing you at all the other big events planned for this year. |
